CRIBS 4 CANINES

Who let the dogs out? Woof, woof, woof! Chapters of The Humane Society, and other pet-adoption organizations, nationwide, have pups without loving homes, but often need assistance “convincing” adopters. Everybody loves something for nothing, and what better treat than to receive a brand-new doghouse and pet supplies with the adoption of your new four-legged friend? Cribs 4 Canines is a competitive experience where teams build and decorate brand new “pads” for pups. In addition to testing their construction skills, participants are challenged with a variety of dog-themed mental and creative tasks. So don’t be a hound dog . . . put your paws to work in this feel-good festival, sure to make the felines jealous!

The Experience At A Glance

  • Cribs 4 Canines starts off with an ice-breaking activity to get the competitive and philanthropic juices flowing.

  • As teams break off to their workstations, they earn their dog house kits and additional supplies by collectively completing photo, video, and trivia challenges, using our iPad Minis, loaded with Premier Pursuits®, our proprietary app.

  • Once the construction of each team’s 2 doghouses is complete, teams deck them out with carpet pads, paint, and additional pet products, including toys, food, and treats, all to enhance the pup’s new penthouse.

  • Participants create and perform an original presentation for their colleagues, often resulting in great laughs and thunderous applause for all. Here’s the catch . . . the presentation must be a musical/dance number, using a popular “dog” song, such as Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog” as the melody/basis of the presentation. Original team lyrics and choreography make an “old standard” a new smash hit!

  • The newly constructed and decorated doghouses, along with the accompanying pet supplies, are donated to a local pet-adoption organization.

  • Whenever possible, a representative from the philanthropic organization accepting your generous donation, on behalf of the children who will receive it, will address your group, providing a heart-warming, face-to-face acknowledgment of your hard work.
