JUST A MINUTE
Is a pencil just used for writing? Is a plastic cup just used for drinking? Is a ping pong ball just used for . . .? Combining some creativity along with a competitive spirit, Just A Minute explores the various “non-traditional” uses for everyday objects, all while enhancing employee engagement and fostering collaboration. Each team mans its own “station,” where a variety of challenges are presented and completed, all in an effort to outscore the competition and take home (and to the office), the gold medals.
The Experience At A Glance
The challenges are designed so that no one individual may monopolize the task at hand. Instead, it is the cumulative participation of all members on a team that ensures its success.
After our professional facilitators provide a full demonstration of the challenges, teams are sent to individual breakout rooms, and are afforded a brief period of time to strategize and practice for the impending timed contest, looming ahead.
We’ve developed and implemented a referee/scoring system in which teams keep a watchful eye on their competitors, ensuring there’s no cheating occurring across the rooms.
Our “Triumphant Triad” concisely sums up this program and has proven successful to those who’ve accepted the challenge.
Its simple structure allows for the experience to be presented virtually and face-to-face.
Its fast-paced and energetic nature ensures total participation from all participants at all times.
Its minimal supply requirement allows it to be a low-cost, yet highly engaging experience.
For those who wish to have more of a “networking” experience, we incorporate “mix and match,” where participants start off on one team and unbeknownst to them, periodically change, throughout, ensuring they work with a variety of their colleagues. Does your team have what it takes?
"My team is global, so there's very few times we can all gather together and share laughs, and the few times we can gather it's all business. I loved seeing them so engaged in the games and the teams formed."
