SLIDER SHOWDOWN

Do you have what it takes to be the next Guy Fieri or Bobby Flay? Find out in our Slider Showdown team building experience. “Deli,” short for "delicatessen," is a German word borrowed from the French délicatesse, meaning "delicacy" or "fine food.” The first delicatessens originated in Germany in the 1700s, but the concept took off in the U.S. with the arrival of Jewish and German immigrants in the 19th century. In our slider team building challenge, teams complete a variety of mental and creative tasks, using our iPad Minis and Premier Pursuits®, our proprietary app, to earn points. As points are accumulated and benchmarks are met, teams gather the supplies and ingredients needed to prepare award-winning sliders, as well as decor equipment to design and build an enticing deli counter.

The Experience At A Glance

  • The competition starts off with a rousing icebreaker or two, building the competitive mood.

  • We’ve designed this experience to highlight and showcase the geographical area of your event, along with others, nationwide. A few examples include:

    • New Orleans: Muffuletta Sliders

    • Florida: Shrimp, Avocado, & Peach Salsa Sliders

    • The Southwest: Mini Chicken Tacos

    • New York City: Mini Pastrami on Rye Sandwiches

    • New England: Seafood Salad Sliders

  • In order to cultivate true teamwork, no recipes, and minimal instruction, are provided.

  • In addition creating award-winning finger sandwiches, teams are tasked with creating a name, logo, and live publicity presentation to market their deli counters.

  • Would you like to add a cocktail challenge to the experience? No problem! We’ll happily include cocktails that reflect the geographic location of each team’s sliders.

  • Topping it all off is the tasting at each team’s unique “deli counter.” This experience is anything but bite-sized, so slap on your apron, and get ready to test your sandwich-making skills as you slide behind the counter.
