THE BOURBON TRAIL
Distilled in the United States since the 18th Century, the spirit’s name is derived from the French Bourbon Dynasty. Whether it be sipped neat, mixed in a cocktail, or utilized in culinary wonders, bourbon has satisfied the most sophisticated of palates for years. The Bourbon Trail is our happy hour experience that celebrates the flavors of the All-American whiskey. As teams complete various mental, minimally-physical, and creative challenges, they earn the supplies needed to prepare their bourbon-infused finger foods, bourbon of choice, and décor equipment. Topping it all off is the tasting of the snacks and spirits at each team’s “speakeasy.”
The Experience At A Glance
After the formation of teams and some spirited activities to get the energy flowing, teams complete various mental and creative challenges, using iPads and Premier Pursuits®, our propriety app, in order to earn the supplies needed to prepare their bourbon-infused finger foods, bourbon, and décor equipment. Those who earn points faster have a better chance of preparing the dish of their choice, as well as accompanying whiskey.
In order to cultivate true teamwork, no recipes, and minimal instruction, are provided. Descriptions of the menu items to be created, required ingredients, and preparation paraphernalia are all provided. Your participants provide the two remaining pieces . . . collaboration and creativity.
In addition to the culinary challenge, teams are tasked with creating a name, logo, and live publicity presentation to market their “speakeasy."
The final portion of this program is the sidewinding from speakeasy to speakeasy, tasting each team’s culinary masterpiece, and the variety of different bourbons, while the judges tabulate the scores. Just when you think the celebrating is over, the winning team is announced and bestowed with gold medals.
Whether it be a “lead in” to a full dinner event, or a stand-alone affair, The Bourbon Trail will have your participants celebrating America’s official native spirit!
