ROCKIN’ HULA LUAU
Surf’s up, so grab your long board, hang loose, and get ready for the most rockin’ tropical happy hour this side of Waikiki Beach! Our Rockin’ Hula Luau is equal parts passion, participation, and productivity. After teams compete in our “Kowabunga Kick-Off Challenge,” they’re ranked. Based upon that, teams choose which Polynesian fare they’ll be creating, and serving, at their tiki huts. Additionally, each team builds a façade of its tiki hut, creates a team/hut name and logo, and prepares a publicity presentation proving why they’re the best. All of this occurs while they’re simultaneously using their mixology skills to create the winning “Premier Polynesian Punch.” Aloha!
The Experience At A Glance
Rockin’ Hula Luau starts off with a few lively icebreakers, followed by our “Kowabunga Kick-Off Challenge.” This spirited relay race is our “ranking” activity, which decides which team is first, second, third, and so on, to choose the finger food it will create.
Once the choices have been made, menu descriptions, but no recipes, are provided to each team and the competition begins.
Additionally, each team builds a façade of its tiki hut, using only the supplies provided. In order to take home the gold, teams must convince the judges that their hut is the best.
One way of accomplishing this is to have a top-notch publicity presentation . . . hula dancing, anyone?
All of this occurs while contestants are simultaneously using their mixology skills to create the winning “Premier Polynesian Punch.”
The penultimate component of this experience is a step-by-step tasting of the luau fare and punches at each team’s tiki hut, while the judges tabulate the scores, and ultimately don gold medals on the winning team.
Whether it be a pre-dinner warm-up, or a stand-alone affair, Rockin’ Hula Luau will have your participant ready to catch a wave!
