SHOP WINDOW SHOWDOWN
Content, concept, and creativity are just a few of the components needed for a successful, engaging window display. Shop Window Showdown puts your participants in the thick of it, all while doing good for less fortunate individuals. No matter what “store” your team is tasked with, collaboration, creativity, and competition will thrive, as teams build a store window façade, using limited, basic supplies. Once designed and constructed, teams fill their windows by earning various items that are ultimately donated to local charitable organizations. Donations may include food, clothing, toys, and even household necessities. Not only do individual team members work together, but clusters of teams will create “streets” where their individual stores line up side by side, showing off a larger collaborative venture.
The Experience At A Glance
Shop Window Showdown starts off with an engaging ice-breaker, ensuring that every designer is put into the competitive frame of mind.
Teams then design, construct, and decorate a shop window façade, worthy of New York City’s 5th Avenue.
Additionally, teams earn items that they’ll creatively display in their windows, by collectively completing photo, video, and trivia challenges using our iPad Minis, loaded with Premier Pursuits®, our proprietary app.
Ask the big bosses at Macy’s or Nieman Marcus . . . no store is complete without an enticing name, logo, and publicity campaign.
We’re happy to customize this program with an individual theme such as a specific locale (Paris by Night, The Big Apple, Rodeo Drive), a holiday (Mardi Gras, Christmas), or an event (summer vacation). Additionally, we’re happy to throw in some “living art” (Christmas carolers, surfer dudes, street painters, and the like) to further enhance the experience.
The experience reaches its pinnacle when a representative from a local philanthropic organization addresses your group and shares how its hard work, and kind donation, will benefit local individuals in need.
