MOTOR ZONE MASHUP
Vroom . . . Vroom . . . ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! Motor Zone Mashup is our high speed, down and dirty race car/monster truck build competition fit for all ages. As each team enters its pit, the pre-set supplies are discovered and the challenge begins. Designing, constructing, and decorating a car worthy of NASCAR®, or a truck to beat all others at Monster Jam®, is the challenge at hand. Would you prefer to have your participants build paddlewheel riverboats, or parade floats for New Orleans’ famed Mardi Gras? No problem! Which team will prove victorious, and which will fall flat is anybody’s guess, but the cheers and roars throughout the arena are sure to raise a raucous!
The Experience At A Glance
Motor Zone Mashup starts off with an ice-breaking activity to get everyone into the creative and competitive frames of mind.
An entire team standing on a truck bed made solely of cardboard and duct tape? Surely, you jest! No, really . . . it’s all about physics. We don’t necessarily understand it, but it works, and it’s a requirement to take home the gold medals!
Using a limited number of pre-determined and disseminated supplies, teams must design, build, and of course, decorate their vehicle with décor that enhances and markets their “corporate sponsors.”
We give each team with the same set of basic tools, as well as general guidelines, but we’ve eliminated the detailed instruction manual. While it may initially seem to be a hindrance, this allows for collaboration and creativity to organically rise out of the rubble and permeate the teams. With the guidance of a team captain, participants collaborate with each other, drawing on individual fortes.
Not only must participants work together within their individual teams, groups of teams must partner with each other to create an “arena” where the cars and trucks will be displayed. Flags, banners, street signs, lampposts, and more are all designed to adorn the space, making it a fully experiential environment.
Each team will create a live publicity campaign, showcasing the team’s spirit, drive, and of course, individual section of bridge. Always entertaining, these “commercials” often elicit the deepest of guffaws from the audience.
At the sound of the final horn, teams must be prepared to exhibit their vehicle, prove its structure worthiness, and wow the judges with a team presentation, showing off their marketing skills.
"Matt and the Premier Team Building crew were super easy to work with and very responsive to questions for the pre-planning portion of our event.
Onsite, the team was very energetic, keeping the group excited and engaged during the entire activity. Would highly recommend and look forward to working with them again in the future!"
